Visual Arts:
Visual Arts topics include: the importance of sculpture, form and treatment, Greek and Roman sculpture, and the Italian Renaissance. Painting topics include: Prehistoric painting, abstract painting, the development of hieroglyphic writing, and impressionism. A review of selected painters includes: da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Renoir, and Van Gogh. Design Art topics include: studying architecture and its elements, Egyptian architecture, modern architecture, and careers in architecture. Additional topics are the photographic process, lighting, filming on a sound stage, the history of motion pictures, and the Federal Communication Commission.

Performing Arts and Philosophy:
Strengthens study skills in the areas of Performing Arts, Philosophy, and Literature. Performing Arts topics include: the importance of music, musical instruments, pitch, and classical music history. A review of selected composers includes: Bach, Handel, Beethoven, and Mozart. Philosophy topics include: the branches of philosophy, religion and science, Western philosophy, and humanists. Literature topics include: Greek, Latin, and English literature, and the makeup of language. Also covered are the elements of opera, opera music, European drama, and Shakespeare.
